I've read that Epox is supposed to build a dual i815 board, but I'll believe it when I see it.

ixbt-labs posted a list of boards that Epox is working on and the dual i815 board was listed. They claim they got the info from a reliable source.... but I'd say take it with a (large) grain of salt.

And yes, the tech specs say the i815 is not SMP capable. But then again it won't be the first time intel claimed something that wasn't 100% true.

Hey you think it'll work if there is TWO i815 on the motherboard working together to make dual... a hybrid dual.. but if epox comes through, I order TWO 850Mhz FC-PGAs 1 hour ago... that'll be sweet....

There must be some other chipset that supports both the FC-PGA and SMP, it says "Now Dual Processor Capable" right on the retail boxes.

840 does, i think 820 does, and so does 694D.

815 doesn't, but I think i read 830 will.

As reported earlier, EPoX will be coming up with a dual processors board based on Intel 815E chipset called the D3SA. It is pretty interesting and innovative for EPoX to come up with this design. Also the EPoX 8KTA2 and 3VCA2+ has reached Singapore and they will be in retail soon.
