Has anyone had any luck negotiating with Comcast? *$38/mo for internet & tv!*

They're advertising $19.99/mo for internet, but apparently that's only with an existing service at the regular price. The chat support people aren't giving me any different information, nor any better deal than I could get myself right off of comcast.com.

I'm not sure it's worth a phone call, but I would think they'd be willing to cut some sort of deal to get a customer from their competition.

Time Warner was way better - $30 or $35/mo with no other services..

***per suggestion, I tried calling and got $38/mo for cable/internet with free installation. 😀

Yes, a phone call will help. If you're not an existing Comcast customer, call 1-800-COMCAST and use the appropriate new-customer options. When you talk to an agent, be frank.

"I'm not a Comcast customer yet. What kind of deal can you offer me?"

Yes.
We had them for ISP and nothing else. Then FIOS came to town. We pitted them against each other and in the end Comcast one. They kept us as customers by dropping their prices.

Chat is worthless..like I am talking to a robot. I will try calling.

Comcast (in my area) has 1mbps down for $24.95/month. This is not a promo.

I have ~1.6mbps for free, so I won't switch unless I get something worth switching to.

Whoa, night and day. The nice lady spoke English without a foreign accent, understood exactly what I was telling her, and got me 12Mbps internet with basic cable television for $38/mo and free installation! 🙂
