Has anyone gotten SPDIF / AC3 output with the Hercules GT XP in Windows 2000?

i can't get it to work w/the latest drivers and SP2...

grr... thats why i bought the card

On my reciever the Dolby Digital signal light flashes on and off and I get crusty sh*tty sound.

yeah, seems none of them are doing ac3 output bump.. i'd like to know too!

i have a friend who has this.. but currently can't get it runnin in 2k, his 2k install is screwy anyay (old aureal drivers most likely). If he gets it workin, i'll update ya.

but anyone else?

supposedly the 2.01 rc3 drivers fix this but I haven't been able to get a hold of them

My brother transferred mp3 to his mini disc over the SPDIF output. So I guess mine works.

I can get SPDIF out on the optical... but just no AC3

installing the new drivers now

yeah, i can get audio out of my optical, but no data is being sent for the surround sound junk this is w/ the vortex... which is why i want to know if it works w/ the herc..
