I've had the full amount reimbursed in a day after filling out the complaint form. But I also called my credit card company that day as well, so I'm sure that helped some.

Your chances are slim to none. I've been shafted by paypal twice now. Filed a claim with egay the last time - I'm convinced their entire "fraud protection" system is designed to prevent you from ever getting any money back.

Exactly.

Everytime I sell something there's this "inelegible" written next to the address in paypal. I have sold tons of things and it's always written next to the person's address. So how the heck do I get protected for anything?

Perhaps he's had some emergency happen where he's been unable to ship out packages. It happens, I know.

I've been selling on E*** since 1998 and have a 100% feedback rating. In my time I have learned a few things ... the most important is that I do not deal with Paypal. When I buy or sell I use cashier's checks or money orders. Sure, it's slower than Paypal but I am willing to take the risk of NOT having Paypal's "protection" and the product for a few extra days. If a seller takes only Paypal I pass on the item. If a buyer does not want to pay via cashier's check or MO then they don't bid. So far ... so good. Good luck ...

not what i wanted to hear.

its not just me, there are 2 others who are in the same boat right now. We all filed complaints.

it might just be that he is lazy...his negatives are that he is slow...well until after my auction ended.

a little over 2 weeks ago...its not the time im so worried about, but the fact that he has emailed me, but has yet to be able to supply tracking numbers, insurance numbers or a copy of the shipping reciept...he claimed about a week ago he had to get it from another part of the company

also the paypal name and number differ from ebay. and there was no one by the names at either number

Can you provide a link to the auction(s) in question? You will provide a service to others by helping them avoid this person.

a loooooooooooooong time ago when paypal first launched, myself and about a 100 others were scammed buy a guy in florida selling PS2s. it was a huge scam and no one got jack. police were involved, fbi, you name it. the guy was caught. paypal's policy at the time was 100% fraud protection. about a week after they realized how much money was involved, they switched to the policy you all know and love today. we were grandfathered in after a lot of arguing and threats to paypal .so after about 5 months of them "losing" documents and making me jumps through hoops, i got my full refund of $310.50.
