has anyone gotten a passport photo done lately?

We just had ours taken at Walgreens this week, $12 each and took about ten minutes. The photos cut off the very points of our heads. Hopefully, the Passport Office will accept them.

^ pretty much this. I believe the fee is standard (something like $130 for the book, good world wide; or $75 for the ID, only good for travel to Canada and Mexico).

Costco will do the photos for $5 per person. I think Walmart does them too, but I think it's a few dollars more.

It's not hard to do your own if you have access to a solid white wall. I recently took my own, developed it for like $1 at CVS, and had no problem getting it accepted.

Just make sure your face is at eye level, your head turn slightly to show your ear, and smile. You can photochop the background if need to be. Print that out and cut to size, you should be good to go.

smile?

here it has to look like a prison mug shot.

no smiles, no glasses, hair out of eyes, no shine from your face...

fucking sad state of affairs when your license has to be taken the same way.

government must be doing some work on facial recognition if you ask me.

wow, you got ripped off. sams club charges $4 for a set of two

Sams club and costco do them real cheap. If you're not a member there, CVS and walgreens do them for $11 or so. I actually had a couple of passport photos taken last week, I used walgreens (costco too far).

I got mine done during my lunch break at Walgreens a couple years ago (though they were for a CCW license). It was easy and fast.

had mine done for the FE a while back at rite aid. was around 10 bucks or so for 2. used the second one for my passport.

That might be an issue. There's a whole set of requirements of how the photos are supposed to be cropped with where the face should be:

http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/photos/photo-composition-template.html

In fact, if you do your own photos at home (I did), they have a link on that site so you can crop the photo exactly to the standards.

Yea this is for my CPL renewal. Walgreen and CVS look to be pretty cheap and close enough to my house. I just didn't want to spend a bunch of money on this since I already have to pay $105 for the renewal.

Thanks!

You're getting robbed. I carry concealed all the time like nobody's business without a license. You're pro cop murder so why would you even waste money. Unless you don't think you can draw faster than a cop. In which case you should just carry a rape whistle.
