Has anyone gotten a 100% stable, AMD-based gaming PC running Windows 2000? And a Q regarding error logs.

I just can't get my machine stable.

There are occasionally lockups, but the most frustrating problem are Q3 and CS application crashes. They crash to the desktop in the middle of the game, taking like 5 minuts to write the damn error log, and on top of that, the crash doesn't appear in the application log! I wish I knew what was crashing!

See my system specs below.

I know the error readout, including the file and type of crash, should be written to the application log - but it isn't!!

I've been enjoying game demos such as Q3 on Win2000 now for months.
I don't know what your hardware is because you give model numbers but not types. Is the Samsung a monitor?
If it's not overclocking then I would suggest the Geforce driver is at fault (a new one comes out every week!)

I do.

My system is a 99,9999% stable AMD gaming PC. I'm sure that the problem you are having happens if you have AMD Athlon, VIA chipsets and a GeForce.

Solutions:
Try disabling Fastwrites and update your AGP driver and detonator driver.
