Has anyone found a place to buy 3800+ Venice?

I have to have a 3800+ cpu by Thursday, and I *HOPE* that the Venice cores are actually out by then. If anyone finds an etailer selling, please let me know!

Thanks!

I think its a bit too early yet to get Venice cores (at least for the high-end models). I'd wait a week or two, as they should AT LEAST be available for pre-order then. If I were to guess, I'd say it'll be another month or so before they are out in full force.

They have the 3000+ Venice, but I don't see 3800+ Venice core on their site.

They're there they were an hour ago.....look under new arrivals.

youch. 230 usd for a 3200+ venice

edit--well, the 3200 winnie is 220 usd so looks like a ~10 premium on venices

Now that will be an acceptable premium...

yeah, that's not bad at all and should correct itself pretty quickly considering the difference

woohoo! just ordered my 3500+ venice. $350 with shipping. Before you ask why I didn't go with the $3200+ for a hundred dollars less it's because my board has a flaky agp/pci bus lock with high fsb's so I may need the 11 multi. Can't wait until we start playing with these and sharing results. So excited! 🙂

Man... I wish these places wouldn't price gouge... you can find Winchesters under $300... a month or two ago I bought mine for $260-270 I think...

Retail boxed winchester 3500 is about 300 dollars right now from a reputable e-tailer.

Everything but the 3800+ venice seems to be about 30 dollars above the best priced retail box winchester(from a reputable e-tailer). The 3800 seems about 60 dollars higher, but there never was a winchester core there, so I guess they feel that this is a big improvement over the nc core therefore 60 dollar price hike? Not sure.

It is as stated earlier only 10 dollars more than their winchester prices... so eh. I ordered a 3000+ venice core from them last night.

Ncix= the Newegg of Canada, but they do ship to US also. I believe they have an office in Washington.

I would think "new arrival" would mean "we got a big shipment from AMD but haven't added it to our inventory yet."

I don't know, the exact quote was "Hopefully we'll have it in the next 1~2 weeks."

It seems to me that they don't have them at this time.

Just bought an OEM 3500+ Winch from Monarch for $257 shipped (now it's $272). If you buy it in a bundle, a 90nm 3500+ can be had there for $245. I'll be suprised to see a 3500+ Venice at that price anytime soon, but we shall see. You can get a DFI Ultra-D for $139, a 90nm 3500+ for $245, Half Life and Far Cry for free if bought in a bundle. Monarchs deals are very sweet....

Checked out the site. Does monarch require you to buy the HSF + memory from them and all the other stuff? It appears they do. Since they test it and all? Can you ONLY get the cpu/mobo and still get the games for free? I don't like their HSF selections and prefer to get memory elsewhere.

Nope, sorry. I've asked them about this, if you order as a combo you must also purchase a HSF. It's the only way to get the HL2/Farcry promotion.

Edited: Right, memory is optional, sorry.

I don't think you need memory but the hsf is required for $8, I just went through a practice run and it allowed a mb, cpu, hsf, and the games.

m 🙂

yes, it's just the hsf or a retail cpu(hsf included), not the memory to my knowledge.

one thing that did surprise me is i asked them to ship mine unassembled and they claimed it would not qualify as the combo for the promos. i'm waiting on word back on that.

the UT nf4 sli-dr they have is 4-6 days to get so i figured i'd save the extra time in assembly but they balked. the first guy went so far as to say my quote wquld be invalid and i'd need to buy it at the parts price regardless of my quote.

we'll see.

I ordered a combo without HSF but they included one for free anyway (a cheap one of course). The combos come assembled with CPU and HSF already on the board and tested to run. I would have prefered if they didn't assemble it, cause I wanted to test the CPU in another mobo I already had, but it's not that big of a deal. btw, the cpu i got was 3000+ code CBBID 0507 and the maximum overclock I can get stable (prime95 for 12 hours) is 267x9=2400 mhz with 1.57 Vcore on my A8N-SLI. Memory (kingmax pc3200) is at 218 mhz 2.5-3-3-7 using a 5/6 divider. Damn good performance - SuperPI 2M in 384 seconds.
