Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the smell from the SOYO Dragon PLUS front USB/card reader??

My SOYO stinks badly when I hook up the USB/Card reader up front.

Is the manual wrong in the connection diagram? Has anyone found out why it does this? Is the front reader defective? Does it effect the USB/Card reader operation? Does it ever go away?

Thanks.

also just had the cat take a sniff and... nothin.

good luck with it

Now I'm curious, how would you "classify" the smell?

Others have this problem as well. It is hooked exactly as the manual instructs. I read a post from others that were having this problem as well.

Has anyone figured out what is causing the smell (frying electronics, burnt smell, nuclear meltdown, not your girlfriends underwear, worse than morning breathe on a camel, "stinky", UN-roselike, etc.)

Thanks..

I fixed it by disconnecting it. Of course that is only a good solution if you have no intention of using it.
