Has anyone every called one of those 'How am I driving' numbers on the back of trucks?

Do they even work?

Anyone drive a tuck with these numbers on it.....do you get a good talking to if someone calls in a complaint?

I think I remember reading an article on a newspaper about htis. It was one of those sidecollumns for journalists who don't do real stories, but these other ones. He says he called on, and then felt guilty, worrying about how he cost some guy his job because of that call.

He called back and they told him that one or two is just a warning, nothing really happens unless they get a lot of calls.

Somebody called and complained about one of our trucks one time. They must've been bored or really pissed, because we don't have those stickers or even our phone number on the truck--just the name. So they had to call information and get the number, then call us. The lady said our truck was speeding, which it probably was. The driver did get a talking-to, though.

My uncle works for JB Hunt, and they look into the calls, but the majority of the calls they get are from morons who don't know how to merge onto a freeway, and then automatically blame the truck driver for blocking them off the road. He got a call a couple weeks ago, and the guy said my uncle was accelerating, and wouldn't let this guy in. He said he got up to 74mph before the guy finally hit his brakes and some other person let him in. What this jerk didn't know is that his truck can't go over 63mph.

I did call once because someone blocked my car with their delivery van and the driver was not found for 20 minutes. There is a live operator.

no i just called 911 instead and got the dude pulled over

I called once, years ago. 1-800-EAT-SH!T was the number, IIRC.

Somehow, I was connected to the old Packard-Bell tech support line. I told the guy one of their driver's was speeding. He had reformat my hard drive.
