Has anyone ever vented an electric dryer indoors?

Is this possible? I realize that the moisture would be an issue. I am thinking about venting it into the attic. Is there something I could buy to dissipate the heat and moisture?

You can get a a by-pass valve for winter time. You don't lose the heat and gives you a humidity boost. You then simply close the by-pass come springtime. I doubt I would want it going to the attic though.

why would you want to purposely fill your attic space with wet, hot air? vent that shit outside.
Well, in the winter people pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to heat their air, then add all kinds of equipment to make it more humid. Keeping the drier vent air is a solution. In the summer though, I'd want that vented fully outside.

Well, it's not going to help venting it into the attic.

Yes it can be done....at the very least cover the end with a nylon stocking to capture lint.

And your attic insulation and the mold that develops will thank you.

op what kind of central heating do you have? If forced air, you might want to get a heat exchanger if you want to save some energy.

i still wouldnt vent to the attic tho, id try to find some way to filter and reuse it inside the house.

Seems like a terrible idea.

Actually if you solve the particle problem it sounds like a good idea in a cold weather climate.

Not in an attic.

I figured the attic because it was closer than the old vent location. If I can just use one of the dealies linked to here, all the better.

It wouldn't be a huge deal to use the old vent location, just a mild PITA. I think I will give one of those indoor vents a go for now. I can always change it up later on.

Yep, we had one at our old house. Helped heat the basement. It actually worked pretty well. Just had to clean the lint trap after each load.
