has anyone ever used an amex gift certificate on amazon?

I've had these amex gift cards since December and they're killing me... finally tried to use one on amazon today (tried to use them to buy amazon gift cards, rather, a far more useful currency since amazon doesn't allow multiple payments options on single transactions) but got hit with Order Status: Your payment revision required after attempting to make the purchase.

has anyone successfully done it? I'm at a complete loss as to what the name/address should be, since you can't exactly register amex cards or anything.
 
You could try calling Amex and getting your name/address registered with the card and also find out the exact balance on the card.
 
The AMEX GC are a b*tch to use because there isn't a way to get the address the cards are linked to, I ended up using them to buy Walmart GCs instore before they expired, started charging fees. I think you could also buy amazon.com GCs in store, but 100% sure.
