I saw a rabbit stuck in someone's grill in the parking lot the other day.

That picture would've been perfect for this thread =[ r.i.p. pancake bunny

Where the hell does something like that get caught? :Q

The edge of the bow above the bulb is where they are usually found. Whale strikes are rare thankfully and most that happen occur when the animal is ailing or already dead and get caught there.

I was driving down the interstate one day across the river on a section that is just built up on top of the water and there were some canada geese walking across the highway and they didn't even flinch when I smacked into one of them. My bumper had to be at just about neck height for one of those. Nothing on the car but some feathers...

I was driving on a 70km/h road and noticed a bird get hit by a vehicle in the opposite lane. It flew in and immediatly flew the other direction when it hit it. The difference with this flying is that it was not alive at that point. It was like a ping pong ball hitting a hard surface. 😱 Poor birdie, but hey, that should teach them to fly a bit higher when there's high speed traffic.

Birds and squirrels/chipmunks seem to fail a lot when it comes to road safety. I do what I can to avoid them. So far so good, but lot of close calls.

Birdie sounds more like badminton is your sport rather than ping pong. 😉

Hit a deer doing about 45. It jumped, at the last second.. rear feet hadn't even left the ground yet. I clipped it and it flew up into my windshield. Fucking crazy experience. All the glass shattered and a bunch got into my face.. Lots of glass dust in my eyes, had to call 911.... 15 minutes of hell i tell yea

Several years ago one of my uncles hit a large duck that was flying over the road from a lake it'd just taken off from in his cab-over 18 wheeler semi. The bird slammed into the passenger side windshield and partially shattered it, then got hung up dead in the array of mirrors on the right side of the truck.

I rode with him one summer hauling cattle. We were driving down a gravel road going about 45 mph when a snake which was resting in the middle of the road basking in the sun stuck it's head up about a foot and a half up in the air. We could clearly hear the snake's head hit the bottom steel bumper of the truck as we went rolling over the top of it.

I clipped a wild boar at 430 am with my Ford Ranger in Florida. Messed up my fog light fixture under the bumper. Completely lost the light somewhere. Went back a few days later and found the carcass about 20 feet from the road under a tree.

Had a crack in my windshield, got it replaced. 3 days later, my sis-in-law borrowed the car. A turkey flew out of its roost and went half through the windshield into the driver's side seat, its head flopping against her.

yea many years ago I was on my way to the high school prom with my date, Ihad the suit, she the dress and all. Nailed a quail and wedged it in the grille. Stayed there until we got to the parking and it gathered a small crowd immediately. Was still wiggling. My date was mortified when I grabbed it by the legs and pulled it out. It died within moments of being removed.

nice solid 'thunk' when it wedged at about 60mph.
