Lots and lots of people. During my BBS days, and now in a car club over the internet. Haven't really met any weirdos. Friends of mine have, but I think they just hang out in the wrong AOL chatrooms.

I met this girl on the internet, it seemed like we had so much in common. We talked for about a month, before we decided to meet. We live near eachother, and met by the boardwalk on the beach. The night went ok, but we both just knew that our real life thing couldn't compete with the internet fling we had, so we broke it off.

No hard feelings either way.

BTW, she was hot, which I couldn't believe. I thought that she would be a real dog. I sent her pictures of me, but she made all different excuses why she couldn't send pics of herself. Now that I'm thinking about it, damn I shoulda...

I met someone during the BBS days but I was too young and the other people were too old. Go figure. My impressions of these people were rather negative so I would never meet someone in this manner again.

If e-mail counts, yes. Not exactly a random meeting, but for the first three months it was all e-mail. Then phone calls. Then I went out & stayed with her for a week. And she'll be here in December for a week. And hopefully, if all goes well, I'll be meeting her at the end of a long aisle. And then we won't have to go to separate beds that night. Or ever again, for that matter.

Yes I did, in the geekiest fashion possible. I met a bunch of guys in a Star Wars chat, who later ended up being the members of my Star Wars line up, and we started hanging out. Since then, Ive moved up north, and will likely do the same thing again, because Im a geek.
