WTF? Anyone who hasn't had their feelings hurt at some point in their life is either lying or has some severe psychological disorder.
Really?
How did someone else hurt YOUR emotions? How did they CAUSE you to feel anything?
My question is not really about if it happens but HOW it happens?
Our emotions are not something that we control entirely. There are no switches to flip, no brain cells we can shut down when we want. While we choose our actions and use our memories and experience to shape what we feel, the raw material of emotion stems from our past experiences and our present circumstances. I have certain ideas I hold, and I want to find out what others think. I do suspect I know how the average person will answer the question and how some certain people will react to it. It is the responses I can not predict which I am interested in. It is the conversation I am interested in; the point counter-point, revision, rethinking, honing, and adjusting which tickle my fancy. When you look into the beast...
