Has anyone ever had problems with Dell refurbished computers?

I missed the $750 off $1500 deal. Well, not really, but I didn't get it due to a computer glitch on Dell's part.

I was going to get it for a friend, but now that that's not possible I have to look somewhere else. Max budget is $850 with shipping and handling. Something small and light.

Been looking at Dell refurbs. Are they ok?
 
My Poweredge 700 is refurb and runs like a champ (got last august 2.8E). Though it has a 3 year warranty and free parts replacement that make me feel much secure.
