Has anyone ever had a problem ordering off of Half.com???

I found a "like new" playstation 2 + 2 controllers + memory card + gameshark for $116 shipped (after applying a $15 coupon). The seller had no feedbacks whatsoever and since Half.com is the middle man, I couldn't resist placing the order. But I was wondering if anyone had a problem with buying stuff off of Half.com and how was the experience in resolving the matter?

Never had any issues, ordered 30+ items. Just make sure that you save all correspondence.

I don't think there's really any correspondance between buyer and seller. EVERYTHING goes through half.com including complaints and etc. I am somewhat confident in half.com being able to get my money back if I do get scammed but I'm just worried that it'll take awhile. Half.com is one of those sites that refuses to list a telephone # and it takes a lot of of hunting to find a contact e-mail.

Anything I've gotten off of it was fine. But I got a book and that's it.

I know a friend who sells books on there. He makes bank.

Once, I ordered several movies at once, and I never received one of them. I left a message to the seller, but he never responded after about a week. I then contacted half.com, who said they would try to contact him. After a week or so, they sent me an e-mail saying the seller had not responded to them and I would be refunded the money. The credit appeared on my credit card within a couple of days. Since sales are between individuals, but through half.com, it can take a little time to get things done, but they were great about it with me.

Ive bought many books for school and for myself off half.com, and only 1 time my order was refunded because the seller did not have the book or something. Ive never had a problem with recieving my orders, but I always order from the sellers that have higher feedback.

I've bought a dozen books and CDs from half.com. All the purchases went through without a problem except one where the seller said that (s)he sent the item but I never got it. I had to wait several weeks because I chose media mail but half.com eventually refunded my money. I placed the order 20 December and the $7 refund appeared 27 February.
