Has anyone ever bought a Canon Digital Camera from Newegg?

If yes, did the camera come factory sealed? I bought a Canon S70 for my cousin but the box is not factory sealed and is a bit dirty. I've shopped for thousands of dollars at Newegg but it still looks shady.

my cannon A75 was one of the few big ticket items I ever got B&M... great price error + price match.... 140$ out the door....

wish I could help

I have never purchased a digital camera from the egg. However, it should be legit.
I would still send it back and demand a new camera.

An A75 recently sent from Walmart was not sealed in plastic, nor was the box taped shut.

I too thought it may have been a return but there was no other signs of prior use.

Bought an A95 for my wifes Xmas present less than two weeks ago. She wanted to use it this Xmas so she went ahead and unpacked it etc. and everything was sealed and packaged from the factory!🙂

Also must say, after reading and using it, this is one fine camera!

perhaps you purchased it from usedegg instead of newegg?

Well I think I am gonna and ask for a sealed box + return labels. Either that or dispute it via American Express.

I've bought a Canon Digital Powershot from Circuit City and Amazon and the boxes were not sealed either. Just the paper tab thingy

Canon camera boxes are not sealed, they just have that little flap that keeps it closed. The camera and accessories are in a plastic bag.

I remember my Digital Rebel being sealed. Maybe the P&S are not sealed? Hmmm. I'll call today.

For the DReb I've seen both, CC and Sears seemed to have their's sealed while I've seen others that don't have them sealed. The one we got from Canon Europe at work did not come sealed. Maybe it's a reseller thing.

Yeah, the box itself was not "sealed" it just had/has the little tab thingy, but, the camera and everything else inside was sealed inside plastic.
