Has anyone else used Esmarttax.com for returns?

I filed my 2005 tax return with them last year, everything went fine. A week ago I got a letter from the IRS telling me that I was claimed as a dependent on another tax return and I need to rework my return to figure out whose I belong on.

I went to log into their site 3 days ago and it said it was down for maintenance. It still is this morning. I can't get to my return and they don't have a support number. I finally found out they were listed under C&R Technologies in CA so I called their offices. The recording tells me they're open 8-5 PST M-F, and I should leave a message - AS IF IT'S NOT 8-5 PST RIGHT NOW?! I hate it when people refuse to do their jobs.

So, anyone have some helpful insight? Anything I can do?

Also, if there are any CPA's here or knowledgeable people, how much of a difference will it make to my return assuming I made just under $20,000 last year and now can't claim myself on that return?

take your paper copy of the rerturn to a real human tax professional along with the letter/ document that the IRS sent you and they'll help you file an amended return, if you need to

I don't have a paper copy of my return, I did it online and filed it online. I see now that I should have kept my own copy but I figured it would always be available online in the rare case I needed it.

Have you checked the site lately? It looks to be up, but I don't have an account to log-in. Also, IE7 is alerting me to a problem with the security certificate.
