In the new seasons of Family Guy, they seem to be overusing the flashback? Every 5 seconds it seems that they say "This is like the time that...", or "This reminds me of the time when I..."

Did they always do that? I could have sworn they used to make the transitions to flashbacks seem more clandestine.

It seems like it's done more now than earlier in the series but if it's not a flashback it's a reference to a TV show, a commercial or something similar. I don't care what they do as long as it's funny. I REALLY wish they would stop the DAMN song and dance numbers.
