Has anyone else heard this Eddie Vedder song?

I liked Vedder when he was about the music and style - too bad he chose the path so many others choose when their moment is over...

I don't care what he thinks he's doing. His 15 minutes are up and he's gone the way of many musicians after their peak - activism. Whether or not I agree with his opinion or not is irrelevant - musicians should stick with being musicians and be about the music they create - it's when they are at their best.

But hey, if he really thinks Bush or others should find another country to be apart of, then I think he should find another country to be apart of. Fair is fair - no?

What, honesty? Yeah, that would offend your type.

Dylan's "15 minutes" began with "activism". Any other stupid ideas rolling around in that head? Come on, out with them. Let's shoot them down, one by one.

Um Eddie Vedder has always been political.... I don't understand what your point is? The Grunge movement was entirely leftist. Maybe you should actually listen to your music instead of bobbing your head along, clone.

As for the Do the Evolution video... I think Pearl Jam pretty much guaranteed their place amongst the greats with that one. I don't care whether you are Republican or Democrat.

I'm ahead, I'm the man
I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I'm at peace with my lust
I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah
It's evolution, baby

I'm a beast, I'm the man
Buying stocks on the day of the crash
On the loose, I'm a truck
All the rolling hills I'll flatten them out, yeah
It's heard behavior, uh huh
It's evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, here's my clone
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This land is mine, this land is free
I'll do what I want but i do irresponsibly
It's evolution, baby

I'm a thief, I'm a liar
Here's my church, and I sing in the choir:
Hallelujah, halleujah

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, admire my clothes
An appetite for a nightly feast
Those ignorant Indians got nothin' on me
Nothin', why?
Because, it's evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced
I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah
I crawled the earth, but now I'm hot
I tried to chill yah, but you turned to fire
It's evolution, baby {2X}
Do the evolution
Come on, come on, come on

He is giving the Fauxnews reply.....This reminds me of the time this guy told me he hated how pearl jam was putting political messages in their music and that it was bs etc.....and the guy said his favorite musician was Frank Zappa...I laughed for quite sometime over that one.

LOL, Pearl Jam has always been about Political and Social Activism. Even before he was with Pearl Jam Vedder sang about social conditions, ex. Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog, granted the lyrics were written by Chris Cornell of Sound Garden, another great group that was about social activism.

want to know why his 15 minutes ended early?
he was always political, refused to allow ticketmaster to charge 100% markup on tickets to fans and ended up not being able to play anywhere. they worked their asses off...and while personally, i think they stink, your wanton disregard for the reality of who you are railing on deserves being pointed out.
(i also enjoy people who quote one politically outspoken artist of the same vein to attempt to insult another artist that they disagree with. comedy!)

i dont care if you want to hate on them, we can have a party devoted to it later. ill rip their music a new one until i cant speak anymore...but get your facts straight.

in light of recent political events this deserves a bump...

"...and the sunday morning sermons pander to the fear of men in love...
and heaven only knows in which god they can trust"
