Has anyone else had trouble installing WinXP on an ASUS A7V133 with RAID0?

After trying several different RAID drivers I managed to install win xp without getting a blue screen. When my system restarted and was booting win xp for the first time...crash. Right after the whistler splash screen I got the blue screen of death. It wouldn't even boot into safe mode. When I installed it to a single drive connected to the primary motherboard IDE connecter, the installation was flawless. Any suggestions?

I don't have a raid controller, but I read in the Win XP newsgroup that people are putting the Raid, or SCSI driver for their controller cards on a floppy. During install you'll see a message to "...press F6 to install third-party drivers..", similar to Win 2K install. Hit F6, point it to the floppy, it should install the drivers for your particular controller and complete the installation.

install xp on the normal ide controller. when youre done, enable the raid controller in the bios, and boot into windows with the HDD still on the onboard controller. install the proper drivers for the particular bios of your promise controller, always make sure they are the same release. shut down, and move your HDD to the promise controller and go into the raid config bios menu, and make sure you check off which HDD to boot from. also check in the normal bios to boot from the ata100 or whatever it calls it. this is exactly what i did on my abit kt7 r and it worked just fine. the only thing i cant do is boot with my cdrom on the raid controller. blue screens every boot, and it indicates a driver issue.

good luck
