Has Anyone Done A Nielson TV Survey?

Nielson wants to install tracking boxes to my TVs and I get $50 for the setup and $18 per 6 month for the trouble. What is your experience or second knowledge of this stuff? Can I unplug the boxes when watching Lucha Libre?

I was in it for a few years. Thought it would be interesting, not really about the money..

It was more a pain in the ass than it was worth helping. If their box goes down they need to come out. They do this afterhours, but it's still an inconvenience. Plus one time the guy brought some gangbanger illegal alien that was just creepy.

When they install the boxes everything get's ziptied so it can't be unplugged easy. If you unplug it then they will call.

I did it while in high school. Well, my family did, that is. I thought they were more advanced these days. Guess not.

I remember my parents did it a couple years ago but it was a notebook not a box.

I'm serious, it wasn't that long ago. IIRC I was still in college at the time. Maybe the later part of high school.

I did this once. They gave me a notebook for each TV in the house. It was a pain in the butt so I quit and threw out all the crap they gave me.

I never did this box thing, but I filled out the notebook once and got like 10 bucks for it.

I was on it around 2004ish maybe 2003 even.

I'd guess 2-5 years ago most likely.
