Has anyone compared their electric bills after switching to mini-fluorescent light bulbs?

I have done this when I lived in my trailer for the bills were too high. Dont bother. Never saw any differance AND they claim 7 years of life but all the bulbs lasted less then 4. I also had one catch on fire and almost took my entire house. And I didnt buy the cheap ones, all were name brand. I think before I moved there was only one left working out of the 10 or so in 4 years time.

I'd like to change them all, but, the Mrs doesn't like the color cast of them so only in limited places, like closets, hallways, etc.

I had one burn out in our kitchen, the base of the bulb basically shorted, I dunno, it was burned black. Scary.

Bwahahahaha!!! Do you realize how many years it will take to recoup that cost?

4 regular light bulbs = $1
1 fluorescent bulb = $1

so the fluorescent has to last 4x longer, or use 1/4 the electricity.

it does both, thus $profit$
