Has anyone bought suits for a wedding rather than renting?

We're going with suits rather than tuxes for our wedding, and I'd like to get them from a place that 1) operates in KC and STL, 2) has quality suits for a good price, and maybe even shoes.

Anyone know of a place that is a chain that could help us with this?

a friend of mine got his wedding suit tailored from an online seller in thailand.

We did buy one get one free suits at S&K for my wedding. If you go this route, you want all the suits to be the same, same shirts and same ties. Best thing to do is pick a suit day (think dress day for the bridal party) and go down to whichever suit store and tell them you need X identical suits.

I bought shirts and ties as groomsmen's gifts. YMMV.

I found a three piece, pin stripe, Spector's suit at Salvation Army. Fit me perfectly and didn't need to get it tailored at all. I still wear it because it's really nice. Cost $45 IIRC and was worth about $600 when I asked my friend's father (a tailor) to appraise it.

Edit: If you're buying multiple suits, then this probably will not work.
