Has anyone been asked to join or heard about the pyramid scheme for Quickstar?

I was in Best Buy looking at speakers and this guy who looks like a 25 year old George Costansa from Seinfeld comes up to me.

The company is a web advertiser that has a home page that links to other companies and members get discounts on products.

I told him to Fsck off I don't like pyramid schemes and that I make enough money.

Anyone else know about this company?

Quixtar (the actual spelling) is run completely by amway, and has lived up to amway's reputation in every way, which is not a good thing. Quixtar went online in early September of 1999 and I was told by several amway people prior to its going online that "Quixtar is expected to surpass Amazon.com within 3 days of opening." Needless to say this came nowhere near happening. The thing is a giant pyramid scheme regardless of what amway will try to tell you, quite smart of you not to get involved.

Thanks for the info Zenmervolt

Pretty sad that people have to go up to complete strangers and ask them to join a group with them and hype it up with "You can make over $100,000 a year with this easy" knowing that they have been in it for that long and still have a regular job.

I couldn't ask people to pay money to a group of people so that they in turn can ask others to do the same.
