I am thinking about getting a pioneer cd player off of ebay and looked at the ebay extended warranty service and it looks good, but I want to know how much they hassle you etc. Suppose my car cd player head unit just powered off one day and stopped working, can I just send it to ebay's warranty and they will replace/renew. Need more info. Also, do they get the item and inspect it when you first buy, or does the seller ship directly to buyer like normal auction? Thanks.

I offer it on my auctions, I don't think anyone has ever taken advantage of it though.

The seller ships directly to you.

IMO, it's not worth it. Don't know if they've changed the pricing scheme but it costs between 15-33% of your purchase price. At that amount it's smarter to self-warranty (aka stick the extra money in a piggy bank).

No clue. From what I understand it's like a insurance claim; you call and file a report and they handle it from there.

Try asking on the ebay forums for specifics.

Thanks! Didn't know they had one, but found it!
