It's a burger stuffed with Animal Style fries (french fries, cheese, grilled onions and spread). Go ahead and let that sink in for a moment.

No but it looks delicious.

I remember reading an article a while back about their secret menu, and for some reason I thought they said the one thing verboten was to add fries to the burger. A tragic case of misinformation.

This isn't real, if a location made it they broke the In N Out code by doing so. I've eaten In N Out probably 1,000 times in my life and there's no such item on the secret menu.

Given that it is, by nature, a secret menu, how can you categorically say that something is not on the list?

Because secret just refers to a sub menu you don't know about unless you've been told. The secret menu's well documented, and this item is not on it. They don't randomly add things, to my knowledge the secret menu hasn't changed one bit since it was introduced. The secret menu's something every In N Out employee's taught. I can go to any location and order a Double Double Flying Dutchman style and they'll make it. This Monkey one? nothing more than a bullshit rumor.

It was confirmed to be a hoax. There is no such item, and in-n-out will NOT add fries to a burger. They are actually told explicitly not to do this.

I've tried many times to have them add fries inside a burger and have been turned down every time. My order is usually a "3x2, animal, all four onions, extra toasted, medium rare, extra everything"
