OK I'm watching it right now and I'm at the part where they are about to assassinate Jim and one of the infantry guys, but Jim escapes in the forest and the one guy says, "Ah! We're fvcked!" OK, that sh!t is tripping me out. It's too fvcking late to watch that and man, I didn't think it was going to be this scary but it's tripped out sh!t d00d. Holy moly. Tell me what happens, PLEASE, so I know what to expect...!!! :Q
 
Jim is shot and killed. The women are raped. The movie ends with a new child being born at the military academy. Civilization has begun again.

Jim goes back and releases that dude they have on the chain. He goes insane and starts fvcking up all the soldiers. Jim finds the girls and they escape. They hide out, make a sign and see a plane come to their rescue. The outbreak was contained and all the zombies are dead due to starvation.


I thought the movie was pretty lame.
 
I only saw it when it was first released, can someone clue me in one the alternate ending that was in the theater a few weeks after its release, and also the ones on the dvd
 
Alternate ending "A" Jim dies, Selena and the young girl go on their way, fade to black.

Alternate ending "B" Jim dies, Selena and the young girl end up at the same country cottage (with a chicken in the house) hear the jet, run outside, put the help sign out and will be rescued.

I don't know what the other ending was in the theatre but I am about %99 sure it was one of the ones on the DVD. Other endings on the DVD =

1. After Jim gets shot in the stomach there is a long scene of the girls trying to save him in a hospital they get too. After many frantic minutes of trying he dies. It ends with the two girls walking off.

2. Jim dies but they cut down the hospital scene quite abit. It then goes to the house scene in the end that was in the first theatrical release. Same ending with the plane and sheets spelling hello and all, just Jim isn't there.

3. This one would take a lot longer to explain. It wasn't filmed and they tell it with the director and one of the actors reading from the script with story boards changing on the screen so you get some idea what they were thinking. In this one it veers very far from all the other endings at the point where they reach the roadblock. The soldiers are never even in this version. Its way different. I don't feel like typing it all out, if you liked the movie I would say its worth renting to see where the movie could have gone and didn't (for a very good reason).

I thought that movie was boring. It was billed as being all disturbing and scary. We rented it on Halloween night expecting to be spooked, and it was not disturbing at all. Somewhat decent movie I guess, but not scary or disturbing in the least.

My setiments exactly. I had heard nothing about this movie except it was supposed to be the scariest movie of the year. It started decent, zombies killing people, decent stuff. Then the whole tide of the movie changed into humans vs humans. WTF? I hate complete shifts in movies like that. It didn't hurt that the main antagonist of the film was annoying to look at, and there wasn't a hot chick to be seen 😉.

Just saw it this weekend.

The alternate ending supposedly was the actual ending released in the UK. The ending we got was tailored to US tastes.

I love some of those zombies though....BLAHHHH!!!!! <sees humans and goes nuts>

Plot twists aren't too advanced for me. I just stated that the HUGE turn of the movie in the middle was stupid IMO. The movie completely turned into something else. Plot twists are fine, but not when it changes the whole feel of the movie.
 
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but.....

Thank god there are other endings. I almost wish I would't have rented this POS movie.
