I think that's the proper one. Again, I doubt it's the problem but it's worth a shot.

i have installed the update, and i am still on OC. do you want me test the video before going back to stock??

Nah just go back to stock now, and try mplayer-gui with a local file.

Well XT its stable now without OC, :( i wonder why??

i was late in reply because of some miscreants problem in my office(Stone crashed into my off in the MidNight so investigations are going on). i now doubt on the PCIE clock speeds, my 680i has 3 pcie slots and all of them are OCed to 3.5Ghz each. so i am thinking on going back to same OC but with PCie Oced to only 3Ghz. what's your take on this??

So you tried a local file with OC, and you had problems?
Then you tried a local file without OC, and had issues?

My impression was that when you played from PowerISO, it was crashing then. But every file (local or ISO) crashes on the OC, and none (local nor ISO) crash without the OC, right?

I really don't know what about the PCIe bus frequencies...never messed with it. What's the default for it? Is PCIe O/C'd a further % than your FSB?

BTW are you sure it wasn't the dual-core patch? Try OCing with the patch and see if it happens. Do the exact same thing you did where it played flawlessly w/o O/C.

you are very right on that..

The default is 2.5Ghz and the was OC was around 3.5Ghz.My Pcie OC was more than my FSB. FSB was OCed to 1720Mhz.

I will get back to you on this. i will be able to reply you on monday hopefully. by the way thanks for the support, you have been so helpful..
