How do they compare lets say to Continental on longer flights (5-6 hours).

Jetblue is awesome, best coach experience you'll have in the US. Sit in the front half of the plane and you'll have more legroon (36" vs. 34"). The 30 channels of live DirecTV make the flight go by much faster. Only thing is they don't sell food, but if you go to the back of the plane you can have as many snacks as you want. Still, I recommend bringing your own food on a long flight. I  Jetblue

Good but crowded now. Their price reflects their popularity now. I use to take JFK to Long beach flights about 5x per year. Took a red eye and had the whole 3 seats to myself. Slept on all 3 seats like a bed.

They're pretty popular in the entrepreneur/business books I've read, always popping up here and there, they've done pretty well.

Ya, there's still large swaths of the country that don't have Jetblue service. I was thrilled when they started flying Long Beach to Chicago.

Ride jetblue if you enjoy having your plane parked on the Tarmac for 8 hours. during that 8 hour wait, the toilets dont work and jam up, and the air becomes stale because the cabin is still pressurized.

GG DAvid Neeleman, CEO and founder got the axe and Jet Blue has suffered ever since.

Since when did that change ? I remember flying Jetblue in March last year (i dont fly often) and back then it was FRONT - 32" and BACK - 34". It looks like they added 4" of legroom in the front seats

and to OP, yes, Jetblue is good. Time passes rather quickly when you have TV (and 30 channels of it). I flew cross-country (~6hr flight) and TV did made it a lot easier. An year before that, i flew cross-country on Southwest and it got boring at the end (good thing that my laptop lasted ~5hrs)

Just remember to take your own food (or eat before you board)...The snacks are good though (just have to ask for more)

I loathe Jet Blue. Every single time I've flown with them I've gotten delayed at least 3 hours. The last time I actually missed my connection because of a delay, then my rescheduled flight (which was an hour later) got delayed nearly 2 hours.

Fly it about 16 times a year. Have issues maybe 2 out of those 16 times with delays and such. I would still pick it over any other domestic airline.
Seats are goods, the airports it goes to (Long Beach vs. LAX etc.) are not crowded, snacks are good, TV is great, service is usually pretty good - overall makes coast-to-coast flights very bearable.

Started last December and it was completed in Feb. They removed one row of seats which allowed them to fly with one fewer flight attendant (3 vs. 4). Saves weight (and thus fuel) and reduces labor costs.
