Has anybody dealt with Enermax support lately?

I've been waiting for two days for Enermax to respond to my RMA inquiry because the fan on my Platimax 1350w power supply is vibrating, squeaking a low rpm and popping/snapping at higher rpm's. This isn't the first time I've had to RMA a PS with them but in the past they were fairly quick to respond so I'm rather disappointed with this time.

Have any of you had to go through this process in recent times and if so how long did it take for them to respond to your request? When I last checked the status they haven't even assigned anyone to my case. This is motivating me to go back to Corsair or even give EVGA a try.

Not too many people use them anymore, so I'd be surprised if anyone here has had any recent experience with them.

They used to make a good PSU, but the last I read, they don't make any of their units anymore. They are all contracted to be made from various OEMs (like Fortech).

Is there a toll free number where you can contact them? If not, maybe send another RMA inquiry. Corsair, EVGA, and Seasonic is where it's at as far as quality units and good customer service if you need it.

They finally got back to me today requesting the very same information that I had to give them to begin the RMA process so go figure. I will not purchase anything else from them with poor CS like this.

I've had good CS from Corsair and EVGA so that will weigh heavily in my next purchase decision. I might just try to find a fan that will fit it so I can sell it and get an EVGA unit.

Also, I have to ask what do you run in your PC where you need such a large PSU?
When I purchased it I was running an X58 mb with SLI and a dual water loop but now I'm just down to a single stock GTX 780 ti and a 4790k that doesn't draw very much power at all.

Gotcha. I'm just always curious when I see a large unit like that.

There's a deal on a 650w Corsair RMx posted in the hot deals area for $50 after $20 MIR if you want to go smaller.

If it were me, I'd be tempted to just DIY a fan replacement. I know it has a 10 year warranty and you bought it years ago, but if it has run this long with only the fan starting to fail, I doubt it'll die "prematurely" and catastrophically.

I've had to deal with RMA 2 or 3 times recently with Enermax for the liteq 360 AIO and the communication was always prompt at least. Last time they paid for shipping and it's still working.

That's what I'm leaning towards and have found a few units that are close on amps and cfm, however, all will require a 3 wire to 2 wire adapter which is no biggie. I'm gong to let the fan get worse before I do replace it.
