sounds like a horrible horrible mistake.

are you implying that this was malicious intent?

no reason to fuck with this person's life. I'm sure they are pretty much devastated by this.

fuckers at 4chan can go fuck themselves for being such immature, unsociable twats about things like this. i hope their mommies stop paying for their internets.

anyway, there is already a thread about this.

seems like the owner is as much as fault--no ID, no chip--simple negligence.

did you hear about that chicken that accidentally got put down in a slaughterhouse?

But it's okay to slaughter chickens and cows and pigs and any number of other animals.

Not dogs though. They are somehow different than the rest of these animals.....even though they aren't.

No, dogs are simply another animal. I do not advocate killing them or anything, and it sucks this guys dog was killed, but it's not like it was a human. It was just another animal, and it's death was likely less painful than many other animals that we send to the slaughterhouses.

In Asia, all animals are equal. Everyone knows this.

I agree with the separation of humans and animals, the guilt and anger that people tend to feel--that this is "another animal."

To think, though, that there is no difference between dogs vs purpose-bred livestock, is completely idiotic. Especially to assume that your naive assumptions about what the general public feels--no, what you think they SHOULD FEEL--is somehow valid..

Well sure, if you allow yourself to believe that a dog ISN'T just another animal, then yes your feeling about the situation would be different.

But just because you allow yourself to believe that doesn't change the fact that a dog certainly is just another animal. I bet you there are kids out there who have done breeding and showing in 4H and get just as upset when their cow get sent to the butcher. Yet that cow is no different from any other cow that is killed for food.
