Have two orders this week, two last week, etc... I rarely have an issue with them. If it weren't for them I'd have to spend much more time in B&M stores... like ten years ago.
 
They started delaying my orders in the past few years. I used to get "free" next day shipping because I live near a fulfillment center and mail sorting center. Now I don't get a shipping notice email until ~5 days later.
 
No idea how they make money other than on AWS. I bought a few items for my last order, spent just enough ($49) to get free shipping and they had to send it in several shipments. Their shipping costs had to be more than the profits from the items I bought, unless they get an amazing deal from UPS. I am happy that they had the best selection of items though.
 
Yes, but overall still so much better than going to the mall or Walmart that I don't care.
 
FWIW:

I ordered a CPU the other day.
It took 36 hours to get to my house (free).
I opened it.
I realized I ordered the wrong CPU.
I initiated chat to see if I could return - no problem.
They paid return shipping.
Account was credited within 36 hours of me dropping item in mail.

If I could get better service anywhere on earth, for anything, you just let me know.

PS: The CPU I ordered was cheapest at Amazon to start with.
 
Haven't used them extensively, but I have no issues. Free shipping is more expensive, and it takes longer to get to me, but whatever. It's not a big deal, and I'm happy with their service. One thing I'd like to see change is flac downloads for music. I bought a couple digital albums, and it's 256k mp3. Not a fan of that.
 
Still better than the alternatives.

As Amazon continues to conquer the world, look for them to pull back the red carpet and have a more "FU" treatment. Why, you ask?.....B/c, like Comcast, they CAN......they're the main game in town.
 
They're still great in my book. Just had to deal with them recently. I'm a Prime member and after 4 days my package still hadn't come (should've came in two, from USPS) and there were no delivery status updates since 930 AM that morning the day it should've been delivered. I talked to them and they were really helpful and offered me refunds and to next day air a new item at no extra cost. It actually was shitty USPS's fault but Amazon definitely made it right in my book.
