For those dogging Sam Adams... I'm with ya. But any beer snob knows that their Octoberfest brew is actually recognized to be pretty dang good.

sam adams makes a ton of awesome beers. their Honey Porter is probably my favorite.

but they don't match up on the value scale too well when compared to the many other breweries that I'm forced to compare. :\

Blue Moon and Sam Adams aren't particularly spectacular breweries. They're on the low end of the micro spectrum. Sierra Nevada is a better large scale micro.

Micro spectrum? Blue Moon is a Coors product. They label it as "brewed by Blue Moon" for the people that refuse to drink any macro-brew.

hahaha and it works too. i remember talking to some girl about beer at work. she said that "she refuses to drink coors because the factory is filthy and they treat their workers poorly." I told her they were brewed at the same place by the same people. She promptly rage quit out the door without her beer.

I don't know why they're arguments in the first place. People are fighting and insulting things that other people enjoy. How can you tell someone "If you like that, you're stupid!"? It's amazing to me that anyone can get angry if someone doesn't have the same tastes as someone else. I don't get it.

Same goes for steak, chili, and as I learned recently...bottled water threads.

and how attractive womens are

I'm a sucker to try any Porter so may need to pick that one up if I see it. You should give the Sam Smith Taddy Porter a try some time if you're also a porter fan in general.

discuss. harvest moon has more of that pumpkiny flavor to it. which is more towards the season than sam adams octoberfest.

octoberfest beers are their own style, as are pumpkins

pumkin ales make shitty octoberfest beer, octoberfests are shitty pumkin beers, is that captain obvious enough?

lest go to the garage and compare a civic and a corvette while we are at it!!!!

Boulevard Bob's 47 is good. It is their fall beer.

I love boulevard

I used to dislike sam in general, but they have brought out some good beers in the last years, the black lager, the new irish red, their new IPA, all tasty.

the winter is OK, the octoberfest is good. the new boston ale is pretty decent(ales are bland anyways :p)
