Harry Reid's Omnibummer

While the democrats still enjoyed the supreme majority in Congress from 2006 to 2010, Harry Reid knew their time was running out. So in December of 2010 he tried to pass a massive spending bill of 1.3 Trillion dollars in an Age where American citizens are asking their government to spend less, not more.

It failed, and it became Harry Reid's Omnibummer

Well, wasn't it Obama who promised to end doing business like this?

It's a quote taken directly from his campaign promises.

Now all we need is the actual bill so we can see where the ear marks are from, I seriously doubt Reid has 1.3 Trillion in ear marks just for Nevada.

They'll have to pass a spending bill to fund the government. Or they can try doing a government shutdown again, see how well that works out for them.

Uhh I dont think you understand. This 1.3 trillion dollar spending bill was for the vultures. The parasites. It was a middle-finger to every tax paying American. I doubt you pay taxes given your crap attitude so I guess you don't care if its just a payout to special interest groups. Hell, parasites like you might gain to benefit.

Your pinning it completely on Reid, how about you pin it on all the people who have ear marks in the bill?

While I disagree with both, you are comparing an apple to an orange.

It was a bill Reid advocated extensively for. Who should I blame but the person responsible for it?

Eitherway, the vidmaker does criticize both parties it's just Reid's the obvious subject. You'd pick that up if you weren't so drunk on teh koolaid.

Want to bet?

I don't see the Republicans really making a serious effort at reducing the deficit regardless of how many tea partiers got elected and how many promises they made to lower spending. It's a government funding bill and it's going to be passed in one form or another.

@Schneider, that makes no sense. Obviously governments are going to waste money; our goal is to give them as little as possible to waste.

This omnibus bill included 6,500 earmarks which are chunks of money given to SPECIAL INTEREST groups. In other words, people who should scratch their living out without our money.

The GOP with McConnell's reluctant urging resolved to ban earmarks, although the democrats (naturally) have not.

I love hearing "getting drunk on teh koolaid". Unfortunately I get my news from all sides and not just Fox News so I am not the one drinking koolaid.

Him putting the bill up is bad, but so are all the people putting ear marks in it. To blame it all on him is just a way to make people forget that tons of people who ran on campaigns of less spending and less government, that all had parts in this bill.

Right back at you considering I have never watched a full program of Fox News, and conveniently, I don't have a TV/Cable right now so it's not like I'm about to.

He put up the bill with earmarks in it...if he really understood what November was all about, he wouldn't have. He really cared about the people who voted him in he wouldn't have put it up.

But he isn't for the people, and it's very likely Reid won because of voting fraud so I doubt he cares what the people think anyway.

In his small mind, all he knows is that the Republicans swept into Congress, so to him, it was time to spend away before he couldn't anymore.

Reid didn't win on a campaign of no ear marks. The republicans did and the republicans had tons of ear marks in this bill. Btw if your going to make claims of voter fraud back them up. Why do you think it was only a few news articles and not a real investigation? Because it's all propaganda. And again your saying Reid was trying to spend 1.3 trillion when it was tons of ear marks from all over both sides. Stop trying to continue to spin towards your obvious bias.
