Pretty ironic statement considering some of the things you've posted around here, especially about offshoring and outsourcing.
First of all I was making the comment with my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek, i.e. it was not seriously intended to be taken on face value.
Second, my stance has always been that actual free trade agreements between two countries whose economies are parallel or close to it, is actually beneficial for everyone involved.
However when you have vast economic disparities between nations such agreements have proven to be nothing more then lopsided agreements which have the effect of transferring wealth from one nation to the other reciprocating nation that has everything to gain and nothing of importance to actually lose.
