If Romney truly has nothing to hide, why not release his tax returns? I love this debate because I win every time against my Republican friends. There literally is no way to answer my question other than the obvious...he's hiding something he doesn't want anyone to see.

This talk about Obama's fucking academic transcripts is a joke. We've never required that from any of our candidates nor have any willingly provided it. It was beneath him to even release his BC, but he caved to the racists in the GOP. This thread proves how unhinged the GOP is today with posters like Fern, PJABBER, cybrsage, etc. They're are all lunatics.
 
I don't know about you guys, but I was driving into work about a week ago and the guy on the radio was saying that Harry Reid has a llama that he keeps in his office.

The llama's name is Mabel.

And she wears lipstick.

Now, why would Harry Reid keep a llama in his office?

The fact that he won't show his returns is all you need to know.

Romney is without question the most dishonest politician to ever run for President in our lifetime. There is absolutely no way he ever gets elected. Not a chance. His campaign thus far has been a series of missteps and if this is any indication of how he'd manage the country it doesn't bode well.

Contrast this to Obama who has remained calm, cool, collected, and on point. His campaign is never unhinged and rarely makes political gaffes or missteps. Once the debates start and Obama can actually provide a counter point to Romney's outright lies this thing is all over.
 
His and his wife's words are always very carefully parsed.

They always say "taxes", never "in federal income taxes".

Personally, I think they are blatantly lying now, because if proof emerges backing up Reid's assertions, Romney might not even last to RNC convention, and they know that.



(And if his campaign apparatus is this utterly inept and incompetent, it is truly scary to think what is administration would look like)

Just like with the loonie birthers, the loonie returners will not be satisfied with this. They will cry and gnash their teeth in anger and hate that Romney is not doing what they demand he does. Meanwhile, they give a pass to Reid for making up the lie.
 
This whole thing smells of Watergate. Seriously if he has nothing to hide, just release them. No one will be surprised that he paid less than 99% of the population and the story blows over.

The reason I suspect he is refusing is fear of exposing any criminal tax evasion. Why else would he let this story run and continue to run because he is refusing to release the returns.
 
😀 And Hugo Drax shows himself to be a loonie returner, using the "he must be hiding something" conspiracy theory reason. That is the same thing the birthers said when Obama refused to show his long form birth certificate. Romney is not showing the returns because they do not matter and it is something to keep the libs busy with so they waste their energy on something unimportant instead of doing something important...you know, the same reason Obama used.
 
I doubt he has criminal evasion, he's rich enough no need to risk it. What's probably in there is his tax rate is very low, and that to get a rate that low, his world class accountants used literally every loophole, every trick, to get his rate that low. Which is exactly what every other person in the US does, except, they don't have world class tax folks handling their expenses/taxes, they have themselves (who are drooling idiots compared to the pros) and the local H&R Block type person (who likely isn't massively above the drooling idiots they're doing taxes for).

This should surprise basically no one, but, will of course be spun by non-partisian transperent no-spin 100% truthful Dem's as the absolute End Of The World (as Rep's would do to Dem's in the same situation), thereby going with the Throw Enough BS In The Air, Some Will Stick election strategery.

POTUS elections are almost as entertaining as reading delusion threads here... 😀
