But "It's not a 'Brokeback Mountain' situation."

"He's a Republican, I'm a Democrat, we work together on issues that are important to the state of Nevada. And I wish other people had the same nonaggression pact we have," Reid told reporters. "It's not a 'Brokeback Mountain' situation," he added, referring to last year's film about two gay cowboy lovers.

Once again, an offhanded comment by a Dem that would have placed a R on a burning stake results in hardly a sniff by the mainstream press. I guess we can add this to the pile along with the "White N*gger" comment from Robert Byrd.

All the same... thanks for clearing that up for us Harry. I know the question was burning in the minds of every American out there... "Are Harry and John secretly gay lovers?" :disgust:

What the hey are you on about here?

Making a movie reference should result in a call for burning at the stake?

Put it down, let it go out, you've had enough!

This non-aggression pact is part of the reason why Democrats lose more often then they win. Reid and Ensign. Come on man, Ensign ran against you and nearly beat you by less than 1000 votes. Mr. hair has been pretty undistinguished in his Senate career - a better Democrat could have made that race much closer but Reid wasn't going to do a thing to upset his friend. Thanks ... all that hard work FROM OTHERS of defeating all those other Republicans incumbents and you reap the benefits.

Wyden and Smith in Oregon. Smith needs to be a target in 2008 but Wyden isn't going to do anything. The Florida House Democrats (with the exception of Debbie Wasserman Schultz) with the Florida House Republicans. They gerrymandered that state and Democrats bend over because they don't want to upset their friends.

Rahm Emanuel was right to target all those House Republicans when people like Hastings didn't want to. Grow a pair.
