Did a preorder at sams club (pay now and pick it up with the voucher dealy on release day) for $15.32. Just another 10 days and I get to pick it up and wait for 3 other people to read it before I can.

Support your local bookstores!

I'm getting mine from there. Also attending the showing of the 3rd movie. C'mon, where's the fun in getting it in the morning, I'll have read 5 chapters by then!

bah half the fun is going to BAM and seeing all the kids dressed up like the characters and the midnight countdown party in the store, that's worth a couple bucks right there 😀

Since alot of Walmart's are open 24-hours, will the book be available at midnight? I didn't see any signs in the local B&M with the time of the release (only the date), and I didn't feel like waiting in the customer service line.

I'd just about bet cash on them having it at midnight, the $ signs will make sure they do that.

The local BAM is staying open till 1 or 2 am just for this book, they did it last time too, we went up there around 11:30 and my kid ate snacks and marveled at all the "big kids" dressed like Potter characters. I'm sure Walmart will begin selling these books the second they're allowed to.

I bit on overstock.com @ $15.15 (10% off + 4% fatcash back). Only downside is that they ship usps, so it should arrive before book 7's release.

My wife is obsessed with the Harry Potter books. I cant get into them myself. She was going to preorder but since our mail doesnt arrive till around 4pm, she decided to buy it local. (probably around 7 am). Ill just be glad when she gets it so she will quit talking about it!!!!!!

BTW...anyone around Atlanta want to do a golf weekend this weekend? I was already told i am going to be a Harry Potter widow all weekend.

For the last book, I waited with the dressed-up crowd at the local Border's for my 2 reserve copies. The next morning, my wife bought a 3rd copy at BJ's Wholesale for less with no waiting and plenty leftover. I think they even beat out Walmart's price across the street pricewise. The atmosphere at Border's was nice (great to see so many kids interested in reading !) but this time, I think I'll pop a DVD in the player, relax, avoid the traffic hassles (and police blockade from the overflowing Border's partking lot) and just wait for the morning after.

I stopped this weekend and pre-ordered at the BAM up the road from me, 16.99 each no hot deal but I have to drive 2 miles to get 'em and they're gonna have a party and all the usual Potter mania, my kid will have a ball so that's cool then.

i am pissed now. my gf had to work and she made me stay home whole day to wait for it

and its so stupid when i call with UPS tracking number, they say USPS is responsible for delivery! its now 7pm ET!!! :|

Went down to Walmart at 1am. There were still people waiting in line outside the Barnes and Noble. Got my copy for $15.75 and didn't have to wait in any lines. They had tons left over too. Already finished and it was pretty good. Enjoy.

I ordered mine through amazon.com and did the free shipping. I got my book today, too bad I don't have time to read it.

Mine will arrive on monday from overstock and usps, which is fine because I don't have time for it this weekend anyways.
