Just called Mission Valley, San Diego Borders and they quoted me $18.99 too. The Walmart on Murphy Canyon Rd, San Diego quoted me a price of $13.92, also "today only" and limit of 2/person.

I did manage to get BB to PM to Fry's "today only" price of $13.99. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when aren't they supposed to PM with 110% of the difference? I only got a straight PM of $13.99. Not really worth the effort for the extra $.20 at this point, but just for future reference.

I don't know if I have gotten lucky but the few times that I have price matched at circuit city they have given me 110% with no problems.

This has mostly been on CDs and DVDs for a few dollars difference each time. This was at the La Mesa CC. So, if you have a choice

between going to Best Buy and circuit city to do a price match I would try cc. Of course YMMV.

I want to crack on Walmart for having the lowest price by .07 cent.

Yep, me too. I went into Borders expecting to buy it for $12.99, and the sales lady says "that will be $20.xx" (with tax). I'm like :Q , said forget it, and went to Target and got my free Cherry Coke! :D

Great price
yes, but if you had read the posts you would have seen its a YMMV because for the only people that have verified the deal, the price was over $18.

After reading a thread over at FW, the $12.99 price is apparently Chicago area only...

ai42 - you should revise your thread title as it's HIGHLY YMMV or regional. I also went to my local Borders (Long Beach, CA) and was told the price was $18.99. :frown:

I got the last letterbox copy at the local Super Walmart this morning for $14.87. They had hundreds of fullscreen copies, but every other letterbox copy was gone and I had to dig through several lines of fullscreen copies to find it.

When will Walmart ever learn that people are starting to realize that fullscreen sucks?

It is $14.99 at Fry's thru Tuesday, and they had lots of copies at the Fry's in Austin.

I personally prefer widescreen. Looks better on the laptop, and the TV at the house
is big enough to handle it. I would be curious as to the percentage of Pan-n-scan versus
widescreen on DVD sales.

If my local walmart, target, bestbuy, and circuit city show the trend for the nation.... no one wants the fullscreen :)

I just got back from Borders,
It was $18.99

the guy told me that Harry Potter hasn't been any cheaper at that particular borders,
so i guess it's YMMV.

By the way, it was an Awesome movie!

I found the widescreen version at the local Walmart for $14.11. That's as good as it gets in the midwest.
