Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince Cover

I got an email from Borders today with a picture, but I deleted it because Harry Potter is stupid.

are you speaking from your experiences reading the books or what? I haven't met many people who read the books and thought they were stupid.

I am 36 and I like the books. I thought they would be stupid but my older brother convinced me that they weren't bad.

Yeah, I've been reading them since my son started reading them when he was 6. We're both avid readers, so I frequently read whatever books I buy for him. They're all pretty good books, just aimed at younger audiences (like around 8-12 year olds, so they're PG.)
 
Well, looks like all the covers feature Harry and Dumbledore. Perhaps a hint?

And also, Voldemort was a half-blood.

I don't understand why anyone cares what the cover looks like? This was on the front page of my local newspaper. It's a BOOK COVER. Unless there are naked girls on it, whoopdie-doo. 😛

It's a book that is part of a series. It is a book which contains a story that very few in the world have any idea of what it's about (other than the general basics). It's a book that has hundreds of millions of readers. It's a book that has "cover art" and not just a title. So, you have hundreds of millions of people waiting for the release of the book, people who could probably describe all 5 covers of the books already out down to a very fine detail... and you're wondering why people are interested in what the next one might look like?

I can't even think of a comparison right now.

But, Damn. I mean REALLY sucks.
 
Harry clearly passed his Potions OWL since the English Adult book has a book called 'Advanced Potions' on the cover. That means more Snape! Yay! I can't tell if Dumbledore is working with Harry on potions or maybe looking into his pensieve. I don't think it's the pensieve because that is usually very calm so I dunno. I'm excited to read this one for sure.

My original thought was that it was a pensieve, that's what my girlfriend thought too before I said anything. So I'm pretty sure they're using it to discover something from the past, probably something to do with the "Half-Blood Prince".
 
sorry to dig up an old thread but i have a question regarding the next book

theres a deluxe edition that cost 42 bucks on amazon. what's the difference? i preorderd the normal edition for 18 bucks for gf from amazon. the description wasnt clear on what the deluxe edition gets me.
