Nice. May pick this up to have better sources for the rifftrax (the only way I've ever seen a HP movie). I hope they end up doing the whole series.

Of the 6....which is the best?

Prisoner of Azkaban, it was directed by Alfonso Cuaron who also directed Children of Men. The feel of the movie is incredible and I think it is the best visually, and storywise of all the movies so far.

they're movies... if you're a lover of the books you'll probably be disappointed overall... i actually like the first two better now, after watching them a bunch of times and fixing my head around that they're just movies about the books, not of the books... i think the first two are more likeable in their innocence and plainness... but i can agree that the later ones are maybe better as movies...

but i didn't even go see the last one at the theater, because i get too annoyed on first watching at them... have to wait for the dvd...

I thought that the new one coming out in December was the best so far. I actually didnt like the Prisoner of Azkaban (as mentioned above). While Alfonso Cuaron is a decent director, his work on this movie made the film feel too contemporary. Like the scene where the bar keep has to set the alarm on his BMW. It took away from the feel of the movie, and I consider it the worst of the set.

/\

i think that that's probably one of the biggest problems i have with the movies overall: they're too polished... the world of the books is messier and dirtier and more 'common'... i guess alan rickman maybe didn't want to walk around in greasy hair...
