Harrison Ford was injured on the set of the next Star Wars film and is currently in the hospital receiving care, reports Variety. Ford reportedly sustained the injury while filming on Wednesday and is currently hospitalized in London — Entertainment Weekly notes that the injury was to his ankle and wasn't severe. The incident isn't expected to slow the film down, however, as shooting is expected to continue while Ford recovers. That said, there's no timetable for exactly when the 71-year-old Ford will be ready to pick up his role as Han Solo, a character expected to play a major impact in the film despite Ford's age.
It's not clear how Ford was injured yet, either, though Variety editor Marc Graser tweeted that he was "injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon." Here's hoping the iconic fighter ship doesn't injure any other cast members as shooting continues.


Seriously the Millennium Falcon is still around in this next movie? WTF the movie will be like 20-30 years after Return of the Jedi. You would think he would be able to afford a new ship by then. Why would he keep flying that hunk of junk around. Yes it is fast but there has not been a better ship made since then?

So he can't buy a new spacecraft and make those special modifications on it? Also now he is the husband of the Princess. Before I could see he didn't have money and couldn't afford it. Now he should be rolling in the dough.

Also I bet R2D2 will still be around. That sucker will be what 60-80 years old. You can't get a new one of those and one that actually can talk?
 
He must have hit a pebble with a wheel in his walker and fell over and broke a hip. He was always really anti-Star Wars for years, and hated the role and wished they killed him off in the series so he would never have to reprise it again. And at 71 I bet he almost got his wish. But it's hard to turn down millions of dollars for a brief several minute minor part, I'm sure. So he has changed his tune on Star Wars.

Believe it or not I never watched any of the Star Wars movies growing up. They were made a little before my time(was born in 82) and while I of course knew about Darth Vader, light sabers, etc I didn't know the storyline. So fast forward to when Episode 1 came out I was happy thinking I was one of the few people in the world that would be able to watch the movies as they were intended in their original order. That was until we sat down to watch it and one of my friend's said "I can't believe that cute little boy becomes Darth Vader".

Needless to say that while I couldn't expect them to have guessed my ignorance of the movies and could've just warned them ahead of time(I actually think I did but can't remember), I wasn't very happy. I went out and bought the original three since I now felt little reason to hold off watching them.

Maybe they have the same problem we have today, nothing made to last anymore and everything has planned obsolescence.

Is being a "princess" because you're the daughter of an elected Queen who had you well after her term had ended really a thing? There must be thousands of princes and princesses from that planet. ..
 
Them old people with their brittle bones need to be extra careful these days. I'm surprised he's even using a door. I figured he would just point his Rascal scooter up the ramp and whirl away on that bad boy.
