Harman Kardon SoundSticks II Speakers

Damn they look cool, but hows the sound quality? Would these be better then the 5.1 Logitech Z-5300?

If these are anything like JBL's other creature thingy speakers you'd be better off buying the Logitech's. They look cool, but sound quality is mediocre at best.

I read the reviews (on Amazon) of these with interest-there is plenty of feedback there. Ideally, I'm looking for a quality two speaker (not 2.1, don't want to bother the office downstairs) system, preferably black. Appearance is important-this is a professional office. I could use a seperate amplifier/receiver to power them if need be.

Any suggestions?

BTW, HK is auctioning off refurbished Soundsticks on Ebay-you may get a better deal there. I've bought refurbished stuff from HK on Ebay before-it is actually refurbished, if not new surplus-my amplifier seemed brand new.

Maybe Klipsch 2.0 set?

Swan m200s? (black with wood)

Plenty of more options if you have a larger budget and are thinking amp/bookshelf speakers...

Ironically I've been leaning towards the Klipsch 2.0-what's holding me back is I did not like the sound of the Klipsch 5.1 system when I've heard them in the computer store (probably the worst place to audition speakers, I concede).

Too bad Newegg doesn't carry this model Swans anymore-a long time ago ((in a past Hot Deal) I got on the waiting list for them there.
