Good deal, but which factory are they manufactured at??

The Spanish ones are good, but not as good as the German ones!

What about the Austrian and Hungarian factories? Haribo has plants all over Europe, I'm not sure if there's any way to tell which is which without reading a label in advance.

For you guys near a central market (higher line of HEB), they sell haribo candys in the bulk isle of the store. usually its like $1.50 /lbs.... so 5lbs = $7.50.... Just giving you guys near a central market a heads up.

damn whats up with the shipping times. this calls for a group complain to amazon about this vendor. free shipping is one thing, but two months to get to us, how are they shipping it? by donkey?

Hmm Central Market is only in Texas. That is a shame.

you can buy the sugarless ones 😛

Be careful with sugarless candy. I ate a 1 lb. bag of sugarless Jelly Bellies, and whatever the sweetener that was used absolutely tore me up. I had the bendover screaming farts all night, and never went back. No, I'll go with the sugar....

Yeah, I ate a bag of sugarless mini Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, and I was on the pot the rest of the day. In other news, my Haribo candy arrived two days ago (Tues), so that was 4 days from the day I ordered. I don't know why some of you are getting such long ship dates! It's great candy, but MAN, I didn't quite realize how much 10 lbs is. That is a LOT of candy, and the thought of carrying around that much extra weight on my stomach - which is what would happen, surely, if I ate it all - has got me thinking about giving a lot of it away to friends 🙂

I ordered 5 lbs. of the gummy charries, and 5 lbs. of the large cola bottles

Since everyone said their order is gonna take a month or two, I joined the Amazon Prime Free Trial. It has free 2-day shipping. You get three months of trial. I hope I remember to cancel or I'll get charged 80 bucks.

The main problem is that they're backordered. You'll still have to wait for them to restock before you'll get them.

You can set your preferences right now so that the subscription is automatically canceled at the end of three months. I can't remember exactly how, but if you go into your account settings and noodle around in "shipping preferences" or something similar, you can tell Amazon NOT to automatically sign you up after the trial expires.

Without a guarantee that they are made in Germany, I'm not buying them. The made in Spain stuff is OK but not even close.

Different ingredients, IIRC they use something different for coloring (natural sources) and a different coating to keep the gummies from sticking together too much (also natural sources on the german stuff.) Overall, the german gummy bears have a much more intense flavor, IMO.

That's interesting, I'll have to try some. I do know that this stuff from Spain is very good - I love it - and I know it's coated with natural stuff to keep it from sticking. I think the label said it's coated with bee's wax to prevent sticking.

Found the option to have it not upgrade. Thanks for the info.

Edit: While I was messing with my Prime account thing, I somehow moved my shipping estimate to May 23rd-30th. Originally said july 14th, but once I changed the shipping preference to " Ship my items as they become available" it jumped to may. Since I signed up for the Amazon Prime, shipping should still be free.

Aah, maybe that's how I got my candy so quickly. I did select "ship as becomes available," although I got my entire order in one shipment, and in only 4 days. Maybe I just got lucky. I'm sorry for you all who have to wait 2 months for your candy; hope it doesn't get moldy 🙂
