Hey guys,

I have a D-Link 514 router with wireless capability.

Im with comcast, 6000/384

When i go to the speakeasy download for my computer it gets about 5500/355

When i do my girlfriends wireless laptop it gets about 2100/355

It wasnt always like this, it used to test at the same speed.

I ran the tweak test on the broadbandreports.com site and it said everything was looking good...

Any ideas??

Thanks,
Rich

What changed in the meantime? Latest firmware/drivers?

Nope neither :-/

I had a tech come out and all signal strengths and such are fine...

Nothing changed and you don't have the latest drivers and firmware, is that correct? That's almost always where I start if nothing has been changed/added. Funny how a device can work fine for a long time and then all of a sudden to a little screwy, and a new driver fixes it.

Did the tech do anything else or have any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

With my wireless network, download speeds change all the time, it doesn't solely depend on the network.
