I had:

6600GT
2.20Celeron
Asrock Mobo
512 PC2700
Windows XP

I just put in:

A64 3000+
Chaintech Nforce3-250

Now my computer works GREAT! but.... When I go to install some programs I get a Windows Error in blue that tells me to restart and if the problems proceed again that I should look for windows updates or check newly installed hardware... IT's making me mad cause I can't play my games... Also is 50C too much temp for a CPU I have thermal paste but I just want to be sure

Infact I JUST did... Still got the error... So I unplugged everything and took everything out except the motherboard and put some thermal paste on my CPU the temps are 43C instead of 50 now. I havn't got an error yet but it seems to only happen when somthing is installing. So we will see after i install a game.

Have you installed the motherboard drivers? The generic Windows drivers are not adequate for a gaming system.
