Hey, so i just got my new build totally up and runing. I downloaded the new FEAR demo and was playing it, and it seemed that every once and a while when a bunch of things would happen onscreen at once, or when i would turn a corner into a large area, the game would freeze for like half a second or sometimes 5 seconds before resuming. Basically, it was choppy. Heres my specs:

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Corsair XMS PC3200 1gb
Sapphire Radeon X800
Athlon 3200+
7200rpm 8mb cache SATA hard drive

I don't think its a cooling issue, I'm using the stock HSF on the CPU and I have 2x80mm intake fans (1 front, 1 side) and a 120mm exhaust fan.

Running the game at 1024x768 with medium graphics settings...

Is this expected with my system? Or should it be able to run it with no problem and I need to change/fix something?

A side note, it was running the HL1 mod BrainBread at 72 fps, and I thought that would be much higher on that old of a game.

Any suggestions?

Have you dled ATI tray tools and changed the fan settings (auto-fill) through the overclocking tab?

Whats the overclocking tab? How do I get to it?

I downloaded the latest Catalyst driver ( i forget which version that is) and it came with a system tray icon, but I didnt know there were extra tools to DL.
