Do you know the difference between an Athlon 64 and Opteron? How about performance characteristics between Raid 5 and Raid 10? How much of a speed increase can you expect from memory with 222 timings? What's the impact of ECC to memory performance?

We're looking for the kind of person that feels compelled to squeeze every ounce of computing power out of every machine. For real or not? Hmmm. I dunno.

Opteron is uses registered memory and has 1MB L2 cache. Raid5 relies on XOR calculations so in generally RAID10 offeres more performance, but is more expensive per GB. 222 timings vs what? ECC takes an additional cycle to compute.

It most definately is not...........we have all utilized anandtech and figured we could find some really qualified people to fill a system administrator position here in midtown manhattan.
