A friend gave me an NIC for an ISA slot to put in my 486, but he said he didn't know who the manufacturer is. I've looked all over it, and I can't find anything to tell me conclusively who made it. Windows 95 won't auto-detect it. It doesn't even have an FCC ID number to look up. How can I tell who made it/get the drivers for it?

Thanks again!

The largest chip and another chip both say Function (not a lot of success in Google with that one...). Another couple of chips say UMG, another says MYSON, and another says Fil-Mag. I found at least MYSON, but there wasn't much there. It seems like I also found UMG, but again, not much help there.

If I were to take a digital picture and post a link, would that help in figuring it out, or is it just too much of a generic/old card?

Are there any universal NIC drivers for cards of this age that I could try?

I've heard of the UMG chip...any nubers along with that? Post a pic....maybe we can find something...
Also..what OS do you plan to use with this card? Win2k is doubtful at best.
